Preparations for ECEE 2014

There are several media guest attending the Edmonton 

Convention, I am doing a few prints of some of them.

If there are certain guests you'd like to see me do images 

of, let me know and I'll see if I can get t done.

Saturday Afternoon Photoshop Play.

A little break from drawing between conventions,

next show will be this fall 2014 in Edmonton.

It is always good practice playing around with Photoshop,

and have a little fun too.

Vancouver and Calgary Expos.

It will be a crazy two weeks for me!

I am excited for this time of the year,

lots to do, people to see and very busy.

Its like Christmas, Halloween, Summer and Disneyland

all mashed up together. It'll be a BLAST.

Aliens and Crossbows.

Emily Kinney, Laurie Holden and Micheal Rooker

from the "Walking Dead", are  guest at the Calgary Show.

A reunion for the cast of ALIENS will also take place in Calgary ,

including many of the original cast members like Sigourney Weaver,

Bill Paxton and Paul Reiser.

Still more work to come.

Gearing up for Conventions.

I finished off my story for Fight Volume 2,

written by Jason Mehmel , a collaboration by a 

talented group of Artist, it will be coming out

at the Calgary convention.

April 18th brings me to the Vancouver Fan Expo.

 

I will be producing more work in the next

couple of months. If you have suggestions

FDC Day 28.

Last image for the month. It got me drawing more and playing

with more of my tools, and learning a little more.

All in all, a positive challenge.

What I would do differently, next time?

Create original images  just for the challenge,

and try a few more traditional media.

FDC day 27.

Inspired by spray paint art, for a background,

on Manga Studio. I can't pour paint on to the surface

or make active splatters with a flick of a brush.

Still a very cool tool.

FDC Day 25.

 A couple of panels done on Manga Studio.

It is faster than traditional, pencil and ink,

but I miss that tactile warmth of paper.

FDC Day 24.

 Early attempts at Manga Studio comic panels.

Still have to find my way around all the tools.

Individual panel creation is tricky, when I'm working

from thumbnails created on paper. Lots to learn.

This will take sometime, will be watching more tutorials

on You Tube. Always cool to learn something new.

Comic page layouts done on 8 1/2 by 11 paper.

Brush pen, images inspired by Game of Thrones,

after a nap a few hours watching a very early

hockey game.

 A busy day on the drawing tablet.

Still working on one project, finding

it difficult to find one image concept

for my Art Book submission.

 I have tried several ideas and learn something from them.

I find myself back at an earlier attempt, 

and will see this one to the finish.

Deadlines loom...might be playing

to the last minute.

Getting a good "feel" for the tablet and

a Wednesday night after dinner.

I found myself mixing colours in my dreams,

is that a good thing? More tomorrow.
