FDC Day 10.

 I had a day to draw and struggled with it.

Experimented with brushes.

 Something for my Kid's Heritage Day done on Corel Draw.

And still fighting for concepts for a book project.

Still playing with this one. It is a collective effort,

but not a communist party.

The first image is inspired by a pencil sharpener, the second

hints a nib pen and the third a painters pallet.

The Western Tale Spinner is the newsletter for SCBWI

(Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators-Western Canada)

I did layout and illustrations this issue.

The Society is always open to new members. They are inviting

Day 63

The Sunday challenge was to do characters from Alice in Wonderland. This is my interpretation of Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dum, with a little robotic element.
They kinda look like rusty chefs? GarSeeYa!

Got carried away with this one. I've always liked retro appliance and electronics, the look and feel and sound of them. This one I call "Radio Astra" music with a light show. Hope you like it.

Day 58

I continue to explore Corel Draw X5. I'm using it for work now and it has been an all purpose tool for design needs. There are still a few bells and whistles to discover, it's like opening Christmas gifts, when I play with CDX5. I'm having fun with it. GarSeeYa!

Day 57.

Sometimes we take things apart, to better understand how something works. I did this with a few of my toys growing up. I managed to get them back together. It was always fun to learn

how the mechanics of things were put together. The definition for deconstruction came much further in my growing vocabulary.

Day 53.

More cute stuff. Having young kids around, getting to watch their shows it influences

some of my work. Maybe it's all the "baby news" that happens on FB too.

Day 50

I have the trial version of CDX5 now, the bunny was done in that version and the mask is on X4.
