Sketch for Girl Friday.

 A single crow watched over the kids at the playground today.

Two boys chased it off, but it took  a couple of times to get it

to leave. Some days there are at least a dozen at the school

playground. GarSeeYa!

A drawing done with a fountain pen .

The ink tends to sink into the sketchbook paper more,

resulting in rough lines.Subjects are created spontaneously.

Day 125.

These are trading card sized images. Ink brush on watercolour.

The subject emerges line by line and may reflect a personality

and state of mind. I'm not sure what this says about me.

A busy day was had. We saw IRON MAN 2, did lunch, went shopping.

Then out to dinner. A coffee and chat.Catching up with an old friend.

I did the sketch in about 30 minutes. A little more rushed than usual.

I got it done before midnight, so it still makes GIRL FRIDAY.

The quickness gives up accuracy and care. Evidence is in the eyes

and proportion. Refinements could have been done in the blue

line stage. I went over it in inks, so no erasing or corrections.

Still, we learn something from every drawing.

This was done with a Pitt Pen.

Day 117.

Breaking in the new sketchbook from

Studio Tudorovic. They gave out 8 1/2" X 11"

recycled paper books to contributing artists for the CCEE

2010 Artbook(very limited).Both are still available for sale.

The line work on this image is done with a Faber Castell fine tip.

Change in tools again, gives a different feel to my drawing.

Girl Friday. I'd been looking at some of Stan Sakai's artwork

lately.He inspired the dragon part.The girl has a touch of V.BODE.
