Day 75.

This is the latest T-Shirt/poster design, production was slowed down by technical
difficulties. This is a customizable image, you can add your own photo inside
the helmets and type in names. This is the first products I've created
with this option. More to come. GarSeeYa!!!

Day 69.

I attended a memorial service for a respected, influential, talented and much loved
Gentleman. Eugene Ouchi will always be one positive light that shines in my memories
of ACAD. He took the time to listen to his students, treated us with respect and was a friend
to everyone.
It was a packed service today. Family, friends, colleagues and students stood side by side to honor a very special man. He will be missed by so many and will remain in our hearts.
"Keep skating to that pylon, don't stop until you get there."
Have a vision and a goal. Keep pushing for self improvement. Things will fall into place.
"How hard can it be?"

Day 67.

It seems like I've been designing and inventing toys for ages, but I've never seriously looked
into how it is done. Ismail has been kind enough to provide me with links to a couple of companies who hire freelancers, I will put a few images together for a submission.
I do so many "cute" things. I say I do it for the kids, but I enjoy them too.
Thanks for stopping by. GarSeeYa!

Day 66.

I did a few sketches in transit, in blue pencil and defined more in pencil when I got home. This is the best way I explore ideas, letting shapes and lines find their way to connect with ideas. It is a lot like putting together a puzzle a piece at a time, you discover what a picture wants to be.

There is a different process when stories and ideas come first, you have an image inside your head that is then translated on to paper. Tracing an image from your imagination.Everyone works a different way, we turn to what we know and trust, but it is always worth exploring other paths and methods of process.

I need sleep. GarSeeYa!

Day 65

Continued from yesterday. Worked out the scales three different ways, decided to keep it simple. Detail can be overwhelming.

Long day today...did a business networking seminar in the afternoon. Tomorrow an interview for a Graphic Design position. Wish me luck! Thanks for coming by. GarSeeYa!

Day 64.

Out late tonight with my first SCBWI meeting. An enlightening meet with Children's Book Writers. I was the only illustrator in attendance.

A quick sketch on a busy day. I'll keep working at it and have some fun along the way.
Thanks for keeping me company. GarSeeYa!

Day 53.

More cute stuff. Having young kids around, getting to watch their shows it influences
some of my work. Maybe it's all the "baby news" that happens on FB too.
Honestly, they're enjoyable to do. Thanks for looking. GarSeeYa!

A Drawing A Day Challenge 2010.

A challenge has been cast to upload a drawing a day. There has been little activity on this blog, so this is a good time to stir things up again. A few friends have jumped on this event, among them Johnny L. and Jennifer P. The plan is to do this for a year, I'll chug along and see if I keep the train on track. Please join me for the ride and check out the other participants that I add on my links.
