Day 97.

 I missed Girl Friday. Making up for it now, but I have been getting more figure work done on the comic.

Day 96.

The Pigs: version 2. I got rid of the heavy armour and put them in

more relaxed costumes. They're like Swine Hit Pigs, just not very good.

Day 95.

 First three page roughs for HOOD. Nine more to go. Lots of clean up to come on pencils. I won't

do that until all the roughs are done. I'll be putting together a sketchbook for CCEE at the same time.

 There never seems to be enough time, always more we can do before an event. Good planning takes

Day 94.

 The Ratt. This story has me going now. Twelve pages to do, see how

far I get before CCEE 2010. I will have pencilled pages for show at

the con on April 24th and 25th. I am debating  on having a

 sketchbook available for the show. It would consist of image from

the blog, and additional new material. Followers,

Day 93.

Top two are late additions in the evening. Still not totally happy with compositions.

Day 92.

Drawings on my birthday. These started of as blueline drawings done on the bus, on my way

to a design job interview. I did them in pencils and inks when I got home.

Honestly, drawing does get easier after you've done a few thousand, and the magic thing is

everyone of them teaches you something and each one is unique.

The thing that is best about drawing, is when you love it, it shows.

Day 91 Sunday Theme: Time Machine.

When I was a boy, I built many imaginary structures out of cardboard,furniture, blankets

cushions, pillows, anything that was handy to supply the imagination. My boys get to do this now

and somedays, I get into it with them. Sometimes my wife is looking after three boys.

Time machines have always gotten my interest. THE TIME MACHINE , a movie done in the 1960's,

was something that I got to see on afternoon tv movie matinees. The machine itself with the spinning wheel

was an interesting design,( we got to see it again on the LOIS AND CLARK tv show)and that influenced

some of these drawings. BACK TO THE FUTURE is a movie trilogy,that brings back fond memories

of youth spent with my brothers and friends. They were fun to watch. I get to enjoy them with my

sons from time to time. This was an entertaining part of my Sunday afternoon.

Day 90.

 A simple one today. I like to do machinery, funcutionality has to come across, convince the viewer

that the thing may actually work. This is also a good excercise in prespective and playining with shapes.

 The theme for tomorrow is TIME MACHINE...gonna have some fun with that.

Day 89.

GIRL FRIDAY today, almost forgot. Wings and swords, gotta try some new

combinations, mix it up a little for next week.

Another exercise in recreating retro type images.

Matching fonts always takes a little time. Some of it you have to

play around with the nodes. Never an exact duplication, some modifications are

done to improve the design. Does it work?

I'm still finding design opportunities, not steady yet, but coming in

week by week. I've always got a few things on the go, so I'm always

working on something. Keeping busy everyday.

Day 88.

I had a good talk with Sean D. today, this got me thinking on his little universe.

Always fun to play with other creators toys, once in a while.

 My trial period on the design job is over. The travel time was not going to work out,

so I opted out. I want to seriously explore the route of illustration for publishers. I know this will take a lot to develop, but I have a little time now. I can examine my options and choose a better path.

Looking at the road ahead, but watching every step.
