Second page today.Special request from my boys:

"Strawberry Head" and" Dragon that shoots missiles

from it's mouth". I am liking this format.

3 boxes of Sanford Col-Erase: light blue came in the mail today.

I have not seen these in Calgary for a very long time. It has

a wonderful line quality, dark and non waxy. Now I just

need my new brush pens to play with.

Day 127.

This is the top half of a coloring page in progress.

I'm drawing the line work, not drawing with crayons.

The original is on 11'X17" paper. This is the printing

size format I'm considering for the book.

Day 125.

These are trading card sized images. Ink brush on watercolour.

The subject emerges line by line and may reflect a personality

and state of mind. I'm not sure what this says about me.

A busy day was had. We saw IRON MAN 2, did lunch, went shopping.

Then out to dinner. A coffee and chat.Catching up with an old friend.

I did the sketch in about 30 minutes. A little more rushed than usual.

I got it done before midnight, so it still makes GIRL FRIDAY.

The quickness gives up accuracy and care. Evidence is in the eyes

and proportion. Refinements could have been done in the blue

line stage. I went over it in inks, so no erasing or corrections.

Still, we learn something from every drawing.

This was done with a Pitt Pen.

Day 124.

Random lines.

 Yields the unexpected.

Exploring a field of white.

Mark by mark of various line and weight.

No maps.No guidelines.

I let the ink flow guide my hand,

 to new discoveries.

That is what "random lines"

means to me.

This is the same process on different paper.

Something about the brush leads me to more

organic forms. Maybe my wife talking about

flowers blooming is affecting my thoughts.

Day 123.

Who knew there was so much left in an old pen.
I did a 24 hour comic challenge with this brush.
It took a lot of abuse on my sketchbook. I forgot about it,
lost it and ordered another pen. I can't replace the brush,
but I won't throw it out.
I accumulate way too much art supplies.

and the flow is uneven. Still it can create interesting lines.
